Time to gas it up

Taking advantage of the increasing fuel prices LAUGFS Gas Auto Ltd. is promoting auto gas conversion insisting that it will give consumers an annual saving of over Rs.184, 800. “Within a year Sri Lanka has seen petrol prices increase from Rs.106 to Rs.157 per litre whilst gas increased from Rs.62 to Rs.80 which is a mere 29% compared to the 48% increase in the case of Petrol”, LAUGFS Gas Chairman W.K.H Wegapitiya said at a press conference held yesterday. According to estimates, assuming that one uses 200 litres of Petrol per month the saving achieved by running on Auto gas over a period of 1 year is as much as Rs.184,800. “If there was ever a time to convert to Auto Gas, the time is now, he added.
