LAUGFS Holdings Ltd. will construct the Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) import terminal at a cost of US$ 10 million in the Galle Harbour by the end of this year. The import terminal which will be built on land provided by the Southern Development Authority will commence commercial operations by the end of next year. Chairman, LAUGFS Holdings W.K.H. Wegapitiya said the import terminal in Galle will help to supply gas to the southern and eastern areas and overcome the shortage in the country. Land preparations and terminal designing are being done with the assistance of the Colombo Dockyard and foreign companies….
