The vehicle emission testing centre, situated at Wattala, is a step towards realizing the vision of establishing Eco Sri centres around the island for the convenience of vehicle owners.
The emphasis in this long term plan is on strategic locations with a regular flow of traffic as in the case of Wattala.
LAUGFS Eco Sri has greatly minimized air pollution over the past 5 years with the use of new testing technology with state-of-the-art equipment and skilled labour. The company employs customer service measures that increase the effectiveness of emissions testing and shorten the time customers spend in the emission testing process. Over the years LAUGFS Eco Sri has helped vehicle owners extend the lifetime of their vehicles by maintaining vehicle performance and conserving fuel through lower emissions.
The Department of Motor Traffic of Sri Lanka administers a mandatory vehicle emissions testing and repair program with LAUGFS Eco Sri to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment.
At present LAUGFS Eco Sri provides an efficient service through a network of over 100 vehicle emission testing centres and a mobile vehicle emission testing unit covering 125 areas.
