Gas prices reduced

The price of a 12.5kg cylinder of Shell Gas has been reduced by Rs.117 while that of a cylinder of LAUGFS Gas has been reduced by Rs.85 from midnight yesterday, Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry said. “I will reduce or increase the prices as and when necessary. The price of gas has been reduced because of the drop in the world market price of gas,” Minister Johnston Fernando told a news conference. With the price reduction coming into effect today, a 12.5kg cylinder of Shell Gas will be sold at Rs.1,652 while a 12.5kg cylinder of LAUGFS Gas will be sold at Rs.1,659..
