Software Engineer (Centralized Services)

Key Responsibilities
- Execute the full software development life cycle (SDLC) with ownership of assigned modules and critical components.
- Design, implement, deploy, and support digital solutions — engaging with business partners and users to architect solutions and make sound technology decisions.
- Deliver high-quality code and champion code standards through code review leadership. Maintain technical/functional documentation and architectural diagrams for long-term system sustainability.
- Identify risks, build contingency plans, and proactively recommend improvements to reduce technical debt.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of business-critical software, collaborating with internal IT teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain and enhance existing codebases; lead peer reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Identify opportunities to maximize ROI from existing technologies and evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption.
- Design integrations between SAP and other business systems in line with enterprise architecture.
- Develop software verification plans and QA procedures, championing test automation where applicable.
- Prepare technical specifications for new reports, layouts, and interfaces.
- Create user/training documentation and conduct training sessions.
- Uphold industry best practices and development standards across projects.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to technology roadmap and strategic planning.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related IT field.
- 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- Proven experience building web applications using ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs, and Web Services.
- Solid experience working with desktop applications, specifically Windows Form Application (WinForms).
- Deep understanding of Entity Framework (EF) / Entity Framework Core.
- Strong database skills with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database design.
- Working knowledge of version control systems (specifically Azure Repos / Git) and CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
