Senior Executive / Executive – Maintenance

At LAUGFS Corporation (Rubber) Ltd., established in 2008, we operate one of the largest manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka, specialising in the production of solid, press-on, resilient, skid-steer, and custom-designed tyres that meet international standards. Our tyres are proudly exported to over 50 countries, including the USA, Canada, Spain, Italy,
France, Belgium, Germany, Russia, the Middle East, Singapore, and India.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out machine breakdown repairs and preventive maintenance activities, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain engineering drawings in line with operational requirements.
  • Coordinate material and service requisitions in collaboration with the Engineering Stores.
  • Support new product implementation activities, including maintaining relevant records and documentation.
  • Liaise with external service providers and contractors for maintenance and repair activities.
  • Design, implement, and support machine modifications and improvements to enhance performance, efficiency, and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 45001 standards, including preparation and maintenance of required reports and records.
  • Train and develop team members to achieve required competency levels while promoting good housekeeping and 5S practices.
  • Support cost control initiatives and conduct Process FMEA to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.
Candidate Profile
  • Degree or Diploma from a recognized university or technical institute.
  • 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Sound knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance.
  • General knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance practices, and steel fabrication.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Effective time management and people management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in LEAN Management and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) will be an added advantage.
