This programme is a celebration of the theme of this year’s World Tourism Day, ‘Tourism and Community Development’, which underscores the potential of tourism to promote opportunities for communities around the world, as well as the role that community engagement has in advancing sustainable tourism development.
World Tourism Day has added significance for Anantaya due to the contribution it has made to the tourism industry of Sri Lanka.
As the first and only luxury beach resort in the north of Colombo, Anantaya has placed Chilaw on the tourism map for the traveller, creating employment opportunities to the residents of the area.
The hotel has played host to a number of corporate functions of leading multinational companies with a large banquet hall which can accommodate 200.
