Executive – Product & Tool Design Engineer
At LAUGFS Corporation (Rubber) Ltd., established in 2008, we operate one of the largest manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka, specialising in the production of solid, press-on, resilient, skid-steer, and custom-designed tyres that meet international standards. Our tyres are proudly exported to over 50 countries, including the USA, Canada, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, Russia, the Middle East, Singapore, and India.
Key Responsibilities
- Design products and tools for the manufacturing of solid tyres, including molds, wheels, and steel band requirements.
- Provide technical assistance supported by proper analysis, capturing and referring to accurate data.
- Ensure all products meet customer requirements and applicable market standards.
- Carry out troubleshooting activities and support investigations related to customer complaints.
- Maintain and manage data while ensuring appropriate access controls are in place.
Candidate Profile
- Degree or Diploma from a recognized university or technical institute.
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance.
- General knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance practices, and steel fabrication.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Effective time management and people management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in LEAN Management and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) will be an added advantage.
