This is the 13th fuel outlet operated under the dealership of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) within the network of LAUGFS Group. It will engage in the sale of Kerosene and Diesel for fishing vesselsand provides the fishing community the convenience of purchasing fuel from within the harbor itself without travelling outside.
A ceremony was held to mark the opening with the participation of officials from Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) and CPC,two organizations which provided LAUGFS Petroleum immense support in the successful commissioning of the depot. As the inaugural transaction 6000 liters of Diesel were sold to three trawlers of Hairu Naval Crest Engineers (Pvt) Ltd on the opening day.z_pii-.jpg
The Oluvil Fisheries Harbor, Assistant Manager, M. A. Kabeer, the Security Superintendent of SLPA, M. Jayathulla, the Divisional Secretary Addalachchanai. M. Haniffar, the Plant Manager, Suminda Salgadu, Hairu Naval Crest Engineers (pvt) Ltd, CEO, LP Mahesh Weerasena and the Consultant, LP J. H. Pathmasiri were in attendance at the ceremony.
LAUGFS Petroleum (Pvt) Ltd created history nearly a decade ago when the Governmentliberalized the petroleum sector by being the only Sri Lankan company to invest in the petroleum retail sector.
In the ensuing years the company has set new industry standards in the industry, and elevated it to international standards.
