AIA life premiums payable at Laugfs supermarkets

AIA Insurance entered into an agreement with the Laugfs Supermarket chain to bring customers the welcome convenience of paying premiums at Laugfs islandwide. Round the clock service is available at selected locations. Now, AIA life policyholders can step into any Laugfs Supermarket, to deposit premium payments.

Laugfs was the first supermarket in Sri Lanka to introduce the 24 hour retail concept. It was also the first to combine supermarket retail with fuel retail. Operating since February 2001, the chain has 10 outlets in and around the City of Colombo and altogether 33 islandwide. The new premium payment option would be a boon for busy AIA Life policyholders.

“We are delighted to join hands with AIA in a venture that will allow their policyholders to pay monthly premiums at over 30 convenient locations at Laugfs supermarkets. It is an added advantage to our customers and both companies will benefit from the extension of our services,” said Ravi Dahanayake, Director/Chief Executive Officer of Laugfs supermarkets.

AIA’s Chief Executive Officer, Shah Rouf explaining the advantage offered to customers said “Lifestyles are changing rapidly in Sri Lanka and AIA is geared to meet these emerging needs of our policyholders. The purchasing pattern of Sri Lankans is changing rapidly. This trend is reiterated by the fact that our policyholders visit supermarkets more frequently. Therefore the added convenience of paying premiums at the nearest Laugfs supermarket would enrich their lives.”

This option is a new addition to the extensive list of premium paying points available for AIA Life insurance customers.

This list includes all AIA offices around the country, Cargills Food City outlets, Abans showrooms and all branches of Bank of Ceylon, Sampath Bank, Commercial Bank, NDB Bank and NSB where premium deposits are accepted.
