The Government announced yesterday that the price of a 12.5 kg domestic LAUGFS gas cylinder would be reduced by Rs 60.00 with effect from January 1, 2010. Addressing a media conference Consumer Affairs Minister Bandula Gunawardena said that the new price of a 12.5 kg domestic LAUGFS gas cylinder would be Rs. 1421.00. However Shell Gas prices will remain unchanged at Rs. 1550 a cylinder, he said.
