The first consignment of tyres made by the LAUGFS Rubber Corporation Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of LAUGFS Holdings Limited, was shipped to a European destination last week. Understanding the strategic advantages of Sri Lanka being a leading natural rubber producing country in the world and recognizing the promising export potentials to the global market, LAUGFS Rubber acquired the defunct Three-wheeler tyre manufacturing plant from the former Sri Lanka Rubber Export Manufacturing Corporation located at Millawa, Horana in the year 2007.
