The price of a cylinder of liquid petroleum gas was increased by Rs.110 from yesterday the shell company announced.
The company said it had no option but to increase the price of its 12.5kg cylinder to Rs960. Shell and laugfs gas, the two main players in the gas market, had earlier threatened to restrict supplies if the consumer affairs authority (CAA) did not allow them to increase the prices because of increases in world market prices.
