Head of Plant (General Manager)

Base Location – LAUGFS Life Sciences (PVT) LTD, Koggala, BOI Export Processing Zone, Sri Lanka

Remuneration Package – Monthly Gross Salary - Negotiable

Category – General Manager (Local or Expatriate)

Responsibilities

• Overall responsible for production, engineering and maintenance, warehouse and plant operation.
• Responsible for whole production process and ensure to produce IV fluid (LVP) as per the annual plan.
• Preparation and implementation of annual manufacturing budget to meet the Corporate Business Plan
• Monitoring production on daily basis and take action to correct the deviations and monitoring the utility efficiency on a regular basis and control excess consumption
• Ensure Safety, Health and hygiene is sustained in the plant by monitoring and taking action on the audit reports
• Ensures to implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) / systems pertaining to responsible functions to comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices, WHO and other regulatory guidelines
• Facilitate and support for validation & qualification of facility, machinery/equipment, processes & people
• To discuss the critical observation of Self-audits/Internal/ External Audits with QA and unit heads and impart training to avoid critical deviations and improve the system by implementing reviewed actions to prevent any deviation in system, process or facility which would affect quality of the product
• Shall co-ordinate with QA for preparation of annual drug product review report and to recommend any needed changes in the processes, specifications etc and to investigate market complaints and initiate corrective / preventive actions
• Ensure the quality, health, safety & environmental compliance and achieving the key performance indicators set up by the management team

Education and Qualifications

• BSc Degree in Pharmacy or Engineering from a recognized university.
• MBA or MSc will be an added advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with computer literacy.
• Minimum of ten (10) years’ work experience including minimum 5 years’ in managerial level.
• Should have experience in IV fluid manufacturing (LVP) Industry.
