Manager - IT Infrastructure

THE ROLE

 

Maintain 99.998% uptime for critical and infrastructure systems and manage and maintain both primary and secondary data centers.

 

Leading and managing the core IT Infrastructure team, coordinating and supervising daily/monthly

routine activities performed by the team.

 

Maintain AMCs/SLAs for critical IT equipment and services and manage relationships with Vendors, ensuring contracts and service levels are negotiated in line with strategic aims, financial constraints

 

Plan and perform BCP and DR drills within the agreed RTO/RPO annually.

 

Manage & and plan the acquisition, configuration, and implementation of core infrastructure and enterprise systems/software.

 

Analyse capacity planning and requirements for production environment growth and future demand

 

Implement & and maintain backup and restoration procedures for all critical systems/applications.

 

Interface with the Information Security team and implement system security standards across the infrastructure and security policies across the group.

 

Interface with IT Software & ITSM Team and direct IT infrastructure team to provide back-end support for troubleshooting, new configurations and enhancements.

 

Identify CAPEX & OPEX expenses for annual budgeting requirements and identify cost reduction options.

 

Evaluate and recommend new infrastructure and processes/procedures that can enhance the reliability and availability of the systems.

 

Ensures all infrastructure-related projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting business objectives and design guidelines.

 

 

The Requirement

 

The ideal candidate must possess an HNDE/BSc in Information Technology or Computer Science degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.

 

MSc in Information Technology or MBA would be added an advantage.

 

The ideal candidate should possess industry-recognized certification for Microsoft, Linux & and Cisco (MCP, MCSA, MCSE, RHCSA, RHCE, CCNA)

 

He/she should possess at least 8+ years’ industry experience out of 3 years of managerial experience, preferably in a group of companies leading an Infrastructure Team.

 

The ideal candidate should have a sound knowledge of Virtualization technologies like VMware & and Hyper-V and experience in in SAP ERP would be an added advantage.

 

He/ she should demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical topics in easy-to-understand business terms and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

 

The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with end users, SBU’s.

 

He/she should possess a positive attitude towards people and, a “can do” attitude when it comes to solving business problems/ work.

 

He/she should be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
