He holds a B.Sc (Eng) Hons in Chemical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa & a MBA from University of Moratuwa. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Engineers, Sri Lanka. An Engineer by profession, Jayampathi has over 08 years experience in the LPG industry and has been with the company for over 07 years as a pioneering member of the Laugfs Gas team. He joined Laugfs Holdings as a Research & Development Engineer in the year 2000. He holds a B.Sc (Eng) from the University of Peradenia, Sri Lanka. Considered as one of the most experienced in LPG operations in Sri lanka, he is a qualified Auditor for ISO 9001:2000 certification & the company’s Management Representative for ISO 9001:2000 certification.

He holds a Professional Qualification in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Personal Management (IPM) of Sri Lanka. Having had hands on experience in Security & Administration with the company, Nihal was with Ceylinco Cisco Security Cooperation (PVT) Ltd as a Branch Manager for the Sabaragamuwa Province and was also in the tea trade prior to joining Laugfs Gas and has wide ranged exposure to Estate & Labour Management, tea tasting, grading, tea auctions & exporting.
